Village Discount Thrift is like a treasure hunt. It's a vast space where you might unearth hidden gems or come up empty-handed, depending on the day. The prices are more than fair, and the selection is impressive. The only hiccup I encountered was when I found a belt I really liked, but it didn't have a price tag. Unfortunately, they didn't price it for me, and they didn't let me buy it. I wasn't the only one facing this issue; the person in front of me in line also had an untagged item they didn't let her purchase. It would be great if they could establish a system for untagged items, so folks can actually purchase the things we find.

Please, please don't ever stop playing the recording of the guy attempting to make an announcement in Spanish. It is the highlight of my visits. That and all the great inventory.

Who else is a beyond lover of thrifting!? Anyone can go into a store look at a mannequin and replicate the styling, but it takes patience and a creative eye to curate a LEWK from a variety of random pieces from different trends and times. I went on a mission to create some fall looks and I absolutely found everything that I was hunting for, which included a variety of turtle necks, denim, a camel coat, and knit sweaters. And guess what.. EVERYTHING WAS 50% OFF!!! These type of event appear to happen monthly and as the seasons change, but everyday you can find 3 different colored tickets priced at 50% off. White tickets indicate higher end or designer clothing. So if you're a label whore, live your best life! But I've noticed that a lot of the "designer" or sought after "popular store" stuff like Victoria's Secret, H&M, or Forever 21 are painfully over priced for a thrift store. So catch me in the racks of the chaos of all the tags not in white! Take your time and look, I promise it's worth it.
